FireTrack Field Assessment Program is a comprehensive
inspection and reporting of your bunker gear to determine
critical compliance to the "Advance Inspection"
requirements of the NFPA 1851 Standard on Selection, Care,
and Maintenance of Structural Fire Fighting Protective Ensembles.
Accredited FSM Assessors which are chosen for their fire
service experience and extensive fire-related knowledge,
will conduct an in-depth assessment of your department's
firefighters protective clothing.
This third party independent assessment program will document
the "baseline compliance status" of your gear.
It clearly and effectively:
- Details current PPE condition.
- Lists immediate repairs required and those which may be potentially deferred
without affecting firefighter health and safety.
- Produces regular, consistent, informative inventory and
gear assignment reports.
- Compliments the budgeting process with supporting documentation
to help establish cost/benefit ratios that can later demonstrate
diligence and overall cost effectiveness.
- Provides the critical baseline data necessary to establish
a departmental bunker gear replacement program that also
maximizes PPE life span and usefulness.
- Will fulfill the requirements of most departmental care
and maintenance SOPs.
- Establishes a clear, defensible history of professional
"due diligence" that, among others, can reduce
exposure to liability.
